Curling: A Great Way to Spend the Winter!

At the Port Arthur Curling Club, we will rent our facilities to groups small or large, to enjoy the game of curling. Are you trying to find a sport that anyone can play or watch?
This is a different way to entertain associates from your place of employment, school, service clubs or many friends.

Activities:

Whatever type of curling you are looking for, the Port Arthur Curling Club can fulfill your needs. During the regular season of curling we have Men's, Mixed, Junior, Sticks and Stone (ages 6 to 12), and other leagues such as Senior and Ladies'. We have open ice during the week and also on weekends for those interested in recreational curling or bonspiels.

Instruction:

Novice curling clinics will be offered for all new curlers. There will be no charge to new leagues for this clinic. The curling clinic will be held by coaches who have their level necessary for teaching novice curlers. It is not compulsory to attend a curling clinic to curl at the Port Arthur Curling Club.
We also offer free assistance to coordinate your league's draws, dates, ice rental times, costs for ice rental and provide information you require to begin your fun leagues. All you have to do is set up a committee and we will work with this committee to operate your program smoothly. (Hint! others who have curled will probably show interest.)

Facility:

The Port Arthur Curling Club at 214 Egan Street in Thunder Bay is a licensed facility, with hours from 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM Monday to Saturday and 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Sunday.

• Bar is staffed between the hours of 11 AM and 1AM during the regular curling season
• Ling Lees Chinese Restaurant offers meals 7 days a week.
• The Executive consists of President, Vice President and chair of Finance, House, Ice Rentals, Entertainment, Building and Property, Junior/Youth , Draw, Mixed, Membership and Ice.
• Live or recorded music can also be set up through our Entertainment Chairperson for Bonspiels.
