2009-10 Dates

Sticks and Stones Program

Early Registration Nights are on Wed. August 26th and Thurs. 27th @ 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the club. (Wed. Sept.23rd is set aside to register if missed the earlier Dates) @ 7:00pm to 9:00pm also at the Club.

Registration forms will be available @ the bar starting on Monday Sept. 8th and all month if can't make the registration nights. Times for starting will depend on the numbers we get for the year. So parents and kids try to bring a friend to try the sport. We know that they will have fun. There may be more activities for the kids throught the junior program during the year. Small bonspiel or bring a friend day again. Will have everything finalized by registration night.

If program has lots of kids - curling will start at 9:00am for the younger kids til 10:45am(times can be changed) older kids will start at 10:45 to 12:00

All Dates are on Saturdays:

• Oct. 3rd
• Oct. 10th
• Oct. 17th
• Oct. 24th 
• Oct. 31st - Halloween - dress-up (wear your outfit to curling!!!!) Prize for the BEST 
• Nov. 7th
• Nov. 21st
•  Kids Christmas Party (no date set as yet)
• Dec. 5th
• Dec. 12th
• Dec. 19th  (note time) 9:00am to 11:00am only - a Club function starts @ 11:30am
• Banquet (sometime in Janurary) Date will be confirmed.

Other Dates to watch out for:

Sunday Dec. 27th Christmas Family Bonspiel 10:00am to 4:00pm

Sunday March 14th March Break Family Bonspiel 10:00am to 4:00pm

Equipment required for the program:

For the new curlers -(ages 6 to 10 years old) Wear a helmet - bicycle helmets are good. 

 ·  Curling broom- (new or used) - will be able to purchase through the Pro Shop

 · Curling shoes or good clean runners (new). No street shoes please-will ruin the ice with stones in the shoes.

The program will supply sliding tape  for the runners.

 ·  Dress warm. It gets cold.

Note:

Pro Shop- downstairs is offering a package for the kids

Broom, slider and gripper for $50.00
